| DJ READY D AT CLUB LADEEDAS |
 |
Many famous South African DJs [Disco Jokers] have hit Namibian clubs already, but most of them talk “HOUSE MUSIC”.
This time around a HIP HOP DJ was brought through, and who else would do it better than Ready D? Namibian Hip Hop Team was around courtesy of DJ Droopy and 97.4 Unam Radio the voice of the future. Seen on the picture: Africa of 97.4 with DJ Ready D on the Unam Radio Studios. |
| DJ READY D HIP HOP AND RNB PARTY |
 |
Entrance to the show was N$ 30 before 23:00 and N$ 40 after than that.
Before the party with Ready D started, DJ Droopy entertained the house with house mixes and some old school HIP HOP. Long hair “DJ Pello” took over DJ Droopy later that night with new school HIP HOP and RnB.
At exactly half past midnight DJ Ready D enters the building: White Air force ones, blue short pants, red stripped Dickies Shirt and a silver AK [Akademik] cap, it’s HIP HOP Baby! |
| So it was only right that Hip Hop heads like AK, Sackman and Eraze were in the building to check out the talented Ready D, but not only so many other peeps came to support; Zocks of GMP was in the building, Joey the Choreographer was around, Augheto Craig of the Namibian Newspaper Weekender was in the building throwing his hands up to the HIP HOP tunes, DJ KBoz and LOMO of energy 100 all came to see if they could learn something from Ready D or maybe teach him a few things too! Even female DJs made their way to the club: Charmaine and Stefany of Unam Radio 97.4 were around all looking beautiful and charming as always, DJ Chè of KCR was around representing the Community Radio and putting getting down to Ready D's hip hop sounds! |
 |
Around 3:15 am you could see DJ Droopy, K-Boz and Ready D in the DJ Box... - 3 DJ's? Yeah, but only one was about to set fire up in the building and That's Ready D. This dude took all sound off and from his turn tables started to make his own sound! I was like sh*t! This dude's making miracles! Then I was like nah, maybe it's coz I know nuthing about DJing, but later I saw K-Boz and he was amazed by the same thing, so you know now it's miraculous! |
The crowd got closer and everyone wanted a piece of Ready D, camera flashes all over the place like Ladeedas was Hollyhood or sumthin. Ready did not disappoint the crowd, he got better every other minute, one time he started the nomal scratching, the next minute he was turning around taking his cap on and off while scratching, the next minute he had his hands on his back scratching while looking on the other side, next minute he had his knee on the turn tables doin the scratching, next minute he had his face! Damn his styles were infinite man! - One time he grapbbed the mic and went - "I wanna see all underground heads on the dance floor!" - It's Bigger than Hip Hop - Hip Hop - Dead Prez bangin - Was too much! So lem me end up here, you missed the show? Cacth it next time!

SANLAM/NBC MUSIC AWARDS – NOMINEES SHOW
Ok, let’s get straight to the point: Chichi and some other guy were the MCs for the night. Talking about Chichi: Wow, she looked stunning that night!
Chichi was wearing some brown short material in the beginning of the show which properly displayed how outstanding her body just got. She later switched from her brown outfit to a black and white squared dress like the ones dolls wear – still short! Don’t hate, appreciate, the sister looked good!
The show took place at the stadium of the University of Namibia on the 1st of November 2007.
Almost every artist that was nominated performed on that night and the show was broadcasted live on the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation [NBC].
We took note of some performances before we headed to some other party – the show was too long!
RIZZY’s GOT HIS ONE TWO STEPS!
 |
Krazzy-E rapper Rizzy Rizz performed two tracks that night. He came to stage with two beautiful female dancers. All wearing white tracksuit pants, black tops and good bodies on them, the dancers had original dance moves [Not the Beyoncè wanna be type, if you know what I mean!].
Rizzy first performed his hit track “Nakaye” from his first album called “Efimbo Olafika”, which means: “The Time Has Come” and had the crowd screaming for more. You want more? Ok, the crowd went even wilder when Rizzy’s second track called “I Luv That” came on. The track was produced by Stalin from RV INC and will be on Rizzy’s upcoming album which is almost done according to Executive producer “Mufaro”. |
The South side beat of the track “I Luv That” got everyone “Leaning Back and snapping their fingers”. The song’s getting massive plays on Namibian radio stations and is currently on the top 10 Namibian Hip Hop joints. The remix to the song is also out already and feature Namibian Rappers D-Jay and Don Gabrio [Don G wsup!].
HIP HOP TRACK MAKES IT TO GOSPEL AWARD
Now where are the hypocrites that said HIP HOP depicts nothing but evil?
Mr. T, a gospel artist from the coast does Gospel music in the form of RAP [Rhythm and Poetry] and was nominated for the best Gospel award.
Mr. T came to stage dressed in white with a cool chain in his chest [Bling!] and a beautiful lady with a sweet voice backed him up.

Lady May came to stage wearing the same old “peacock hairstyle” and dressed in “Yellow” from top to bottom. Now people say yellow "makes you look cheap", but Lady May looked nothing like that - She’s talented, proud and confident – and the latest: Lady May grew some ass too!

Oh yeah, we got an advice for Stella: Ask your dancers how they keep so fit!
NOTE: I never said she’s not fit! LOL J
TUNACKIE’S STILL GOT IT!
You might have seen her driving a modern “Peugeot 207” on her latest video, but Tunackie still knows her roots, she keeps it traditional! “But what about her silver teeth?” - I hope it’s traditional too!
Tunackie came to stage with Three back ups all dressing white and red traditional dresses and throwing exciting traditional moves allover the dance floor.
A few weeks ago Tunackie performed in the USA with other Namibian Music Industry artists like “Jackson Kaujejua” and you can read it further on the website...
